The national necropolis of Cléry-sur-Somme also known as the military cemetery of the Bois des Ouvrages is a French military cemetery of the First World War.
The national necropolis of Cléry-sur-Somme was created in 1920 right next to the Bois des Croisettes, called by the Poilus, Bois des Ouvrages, hence its name. From 1920 to 1936, we grouped together in this cemetery, bodies exhumed from cemeteries located on the former front of the Somme: the Ferme de Monacu, the Moulin de Fargny, the Bois des Berlingots, as well as bodies from military squares. the municipal cemeteries of Morlancourt and Vaires-sous-Corbie.
The necropolis has an area of 0.95 ha. It brings together 2,332 remains of French soldiers who died during the Great War, 1,206 are buried in individual graves and 1,129 in two ossuaries.
