Died 07 November 1918 Age 35
1918: Lt John O'Connell Dodd from Kilorglin, gave orders for his "B" Company, 2nd battalion to move from billets to the trenches, and while superintending the move, he was killed by an exploding shell.
The war would end 4 days later. Dodd, an insurance clerk, was the captain of London Irish Rugby Club.
