A commemoration of the fallen of WWI was held on the Belgian military cemetery of Veltem-Beisem on Thursday 22th September 2022.

This cemetery contains the remains of Belgian victims of the fighting on the Dyle Line in August and September 1914. The cemetery was created in the period 1925-1926, due to the concentration of graves from the area. Now 904 Belgians are buried in this collective cemetery, of which 239 could no longer be identified.
