Saturday 15th October 2022 a remembrance ceremony was held for Air Mechanic 2^nd Class Cornelius Kelly. The commemoration included Dr Ina Kelly as the great-niece of Irish gunner Kelly. The Canadian pilot Lieutenant Percy Byron McNally was also commemorated. Mayor Piet Buyse gave a short historical explanation and paid tribute to these two fallen.
