The cemetery was made by Field Ambulances and fighting units (mainly of the 29th and 36th (Ulster) Divisions) between August 1915 and August, 1916.

There are now nearly 100, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. The cemetery covers an area of 747 square metres and is enclosed by a stone rubble wall.
