Antwerpen, Belgium - 75th anniversary of the liberation of Antwerp

September marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Antwerp during the Second World War. On the occasion of the commemoration of the Liberation, the city organised various events. The Liberation Days is one of the highlights.

 

Liberation Parade with 100 historic and contemporary military and civilian vehicles, accompanied by marching bands and actors. A unique 7-km parade.

 

You will be immersed in life during World War II in the Liberation Village along the River Scheldt. In addition to the vehicles in the parade, you can also visit the re-enactment camp, the experience containers, enjoy music and young people can see whether they have what it takes to join the army.

 

Fifteen historic planes joined in a fly-over over the Scheldt, where boats joined in a historic flotilla.
