Woensel, The Netherlands - Wreath laying.
At the Airborne Monument in Woensel on 16 September 2018 roses are laid in memory of the fallen soldiers who liberated Eindhoven in the Second World War.
These are members of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. On September 18, 1944, they put an end to the German occupation.
At the commemoration representatives of the American embassy and members of the Airborne Friends Association are present. An alderman makes a speech. Those interested are welcome.
The plaque was unveiled in 1969 by two veterans of the 101st Airborne Division.
