Monument Limburg Soldiers Oud-Rekem

This bronze monument has been placed next to the canal in Oud-Rekem in memory of the Limburg soldiers and fellow sufferers from the First World War.  Soldier-stretcher bearer Frans Kusters from Rekem belongs to the collective memory of 'The Great War'. The teacher who volunteered and was shot in Kaaskerke.
