Monument to Victims of NS-Psychiatry Waldniel-Hostert
In memory of the patients who fell victim to the National Socialist regime. At least 30 children were murdered as part of the euthanasia program.
The memorial commemorates the more than 500 mentally ill and disabled people, children and adults, who died in the "Waldniel Department" between 1939 and 1945. Their names have not been forgotten. You can find them on the dark wall at the edge of the former institution cemetery.
