Jardin Ferroviaire, Buysscheure
Welcome to the Buysscheure Railway Garden. Located in the North between Cassel and Saint Omer, our park of 1500m ² will make you travel in the universe of the railways from the years 1920 to 1960. You will discover a landscape of countryside with its villages, its stations, its tunnels, its port and its viaduct, in which evolve about twenty trains.
More than 200 plantations, 400 characters, 20 locomotives with sound, railcars and trams will amaze you. On the G scale, that is to say a reproduction at 1 / 20th, the Buysscheure circuit is the longest in France on this scale with its 1100 meters - and soon 1500 meters - of rails.
The period décor is reconstructed from old postcards and the trains of the Buysscheure railway show the rise of railway during the last century.
Whether you are from the region, backpacker, senior or school, the historical aspect and the model will delight your curiosity. Every visit is accompanied, so that no detail escapes you.
