WOII Verzetsmuseum "De Patrijs 44"
WO II Verzetsmuseum "De Patrijs 44"
This war museum houses unique documents and photos from the private archives of the late Alfred Noteboom. Alfred Noteboom was the founder of the ‘Le Perdreau – De Patrijs’ hideaway; the museum also has foreign family collections. Secret pigeon messages to England, forged passports and stamps used by the Haaltert hideaway complete the collection along with radios and transmitters.
Lots of attention is paid to the underground press during WWII. A unique American printing press from Ohio was recently purchased by the museum.
Sadly the museum closed in March 2021.
