In May and June, 1918, a German field hospital for prisoners was at Flavy-le-Martel, and soldiers from the United Kingdom who died in the hospital were buried in Annois Communal Cemetery.
There are now over 60, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. The two plots cover an area of 253 square metres and are enclosed by stone curbs.
