This memorial commemorates three RAF-airmen who were killed on 12 May 1940 during attacks on the bridges at Veldwezelt and Vroenhoven.

Flying Officer Donald E. Garland - age 21

Sergeant Tom Gray - age 26

Leading Aircraftman Roy Reynolds - age 20

All 3 are buried in Heverlee War Cemetery,  F/O Garland and Sgt Gray were posthumous awarded the Victoria Cross.
