Musée 39-45, Ambleteuse
Musee 39-45
On the coast road, few kilometers from Boulogne sur mer, between Calais and Wimereux, the WWII museum in Ambleteuse offers you an amazing 800 square meters tour of the last world conflict, from the polish campaign to the japanese capitulation.
The museum was created 25 years ago by two collectors, Denis BARBE and Christophe DESCHODT, who share a passion for this period of history and spent 40 years of relentless searching to gather together the thousands of items and documents on display. This exhibition is the evidence of the sacrifice of millions of young people to be remembered by the present and next generations. Whatever their nationalities, they suffered or gave their life for a cause they thought right or to protect their freedom and their country.
